“It was important for us that a realtor has a deep knowledge of the area and local market. We were on a very tight schedule to buy a house but thanks to Derek we had been able to close in time, despite the paucity of livable houses in our price range. Derek had correctly identified potential deficiencies in the house, which were later confirmed by a certified inspector. “We bought with Derek five years ago and thought he got us the best value property Royal Oak had to offer at that time. Recently we decided to move to Troy. He worked with us to get our home below our max budget- for the home we wanted, not best available and there is a difference. Then time to sell. He was aggressive on the sales price of our home in Royal Oak and we were not on board with his suggestions. He told us trust him, his suggestions, and trust the value of staging.
