Any and all questions we had, she was always there to answer them and assure us we would find the perfect home. She would facetime us in to look at a house before we drove to see it in person and even handled certain inspection appointments for us, so we didn't have to take off from work. Not to mention she is the sweetest person you will ever meet. All of her referrals for who we should use were also amazing. “I want to sing Laurie Buys praises as our realtor from the rooftops! We were not the average case for a realtor. We had a wonderful rental situation in Arbor Arbor and we were very casually looking for the perfect property for us at the right price point as first time home buyers in the Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti area. Laurie not only went on this ride with us for a couple of years she educated us on virtually every aspect of buying a home with limitless patience, kindness, expertise and generosity. We were picky and had a lot of opinions about what was right for us. She was honest about the state of the homes, diligently checking and explaining every aspect of their conditions with complete transparency about potential costs and pitfalls. She was always available and went out of her way to get us into homes before open houses. When we did find the perfect house, she made it so painless. She was an advocate for our interest in the negotiations and made many calls to her contacts to get us the best rates on anything that needed repair or replacement. All estimates were accurate and the follow through from her recommendations was excellent. Buying a home that needs some work is terrifying especially for a first time homebuyer on a budget. But with Laurie I feel like we got the guidance and access that made it safe and secure. Highly recommend Laurie Buys and Amoreena Crawford her client care coordinator at Reinhart Realty.”

She was/is great to work with on both transactions, offering great advice to help us get our home ready for sale (and selling it in 6 days!!) and continues to be a great advocate for us with our new construction home. She always asks the right questions and stays on top of progress. Nothing has slipped by her and we cant appreciate that enough. She is also extremely easy to get along with, always available for our questions and not once did we feel like we were interacting with a sales person. “We would work with Laurie again and we could not recommend her more highly. She guided us on a widespread and long (2 years) search with extraordinary patience. I lost count of how many homes she was able to show us - always accommodating our schedules and tirelessly getting us into those homes we found online while driving to meet her....She has great vision and was able to help us see the potential (and shortfalls) of houses we looked at.But where Laurie really shone was once we found our house contract. Wow. This is the fourth home I've bought, and the first time I've had a realtor accompany us through the entire home inspection - all four hours of it. And good thing she did too, because there were a number of questions that arose and she was able to resolve them on the fly. She has a strong network of contractors who she can (and did) call upon to help with inspection issues, renovations, etc.She is incredibly professional and responds to texts within a minute or two seemingly at all times.All this, and she's also a pleasure to work with!”

She gave good advice about prepping the house and the timeline. She not only staged the house, she actually went and picked up some accessories from Lowe's when I was out of town.Laurie understands how to work with sellers, how to offer her opinion about upgrades and bargaining without pushing it too hard. I was happy that we mostly agreed about things, but appreciated that she was willing to support my view in any case. Would definitely recommend Laurie Buys if you are selling.”
