We were living out of state at the time and were in the process of moving here to Michigan. On our first trip out here to Michigan to look at the area, my husband was in meetings and my goal was to find a realtor. I met with several realtors that day in hopes of finding one we could work with. Randy stood out! Randy took the time to answer questions about Michigan/the area and had put together an informative PowerPoint for me. I had no prior knowledge about the area and knew no one here so the information Randy shared with me was extremely helpful. Even though we first contacted Randy in the spring 2015, we weren't planning on actually moving to Michigan until fall 2015. After our initial meeting, my husband and I stayed in contact with Randy. He kept us informed about the area and set up an automated email that daily sent us a listing of homes on the market within our criteria. It was a great way to begin understanding the housing market here in the area. We came back to Michigan in the summer to look at homes. It was a fast trip--fly in Monday, fly out Wednesday--we didn't have a lot of time to look. Randy cleared his schedule the days we were in town, scheduled showingsahead of time, and took us to see the homes. Randy was organized, kind, and prepared for our visit. We found a home we liked on the second day, put in an offer, and then we left the next day. We were excited that we were able to find a home so quickly and we were grateful for all the preparation that Randy did ahead of our visit. It is difficult to buy a house from out of state but Randy took a lot of the stress. He helped schedule the home inspection for us and he even attended the inspection as we were out of state. After we received the home inspection report, we ended up pulling out of the contract due to issues that came up. I appreciated that Randy was supportive of our decision to pull out of the contract; he didn't put pressure on us to buy the home once we saw the report. We moved to the area in the Fall 2015 and ended up renting at first because we still hadn't found our home, however, within a month of moving here, we found our home. I saw the listing for a home late Sunday night and emailed Randy about it. First thing Monday, he got back to me and said we needed to move fast on the home because he thought it would sell quickly based on price and location. Within a couple of hours we were at the home. Randy had the purchase contract paperwork prepared ahead of time and brought it with him to the house. He was prepared to act fast if we liked the house and we did! We put in the offer and got the home. Randy understandsthe market. He understands what types of homes sell fast and he's prepared to act quickly. We appreciated that because we now have a great home! Randy helped us every step of the way. He helped the process of home-buying enjoyable and fun. One more thing to note that my husband and I really appreciated was that fact that when we moved here in the fall, we brought our children along since we didn't know anyone here in the area who could watch them. Our children are young-- baby and toddler aged. Randy was kind when things took a little longer when something came up with the kids. He told us he's a grandpa so he understands! We've now been our home for a few months and we are happy here, and in large part that's thanks to Randy for working so hard on our behalf. If you are looking for a realtor to help you, choose Randy.
