Born and raised in the Traverse City area and moved to Dearborn when I got married in 1985 and raised my family here. I became a Realtor in 2005 but until then I spent most of my adult life in the Senior living field as an Activity Director, Leasing Specialist and Assistant Manager of several big facilities. That is where I learned the skills needed to be a Realtor. Helping people downsize from a large home to a small apartment helped me to put others life situations into prospective . People need to move for many reasons and in lots of different situations but my help as a Realtor is invaluable in all those situations. Without a Realtor to guide a first time homebuyer, or handle a Relocation move for a family, or hold the hand of a Senior who is moving from a place they called home for many years to a place that is supposed to make their life easier, all these situations could be much more difficult. I love my job and the people I meet and work with.
After going through the home buying process, which can be stressful at best, Clients become like family. I learn so much about each member and the family dynamics. I believe you have to know your Clients in order to be an outstanding Realtor. I must learn what each person needs and wants in a new home and then make sure I find the home that best suits everyones needs.
