Event Details: PMBC is partnering with Southwest Michigan First and a regional partner group to host the 2024 Southwest Michigan Supplier Readiness event on May 21 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. at Firekeepers Casino and Hotel in Battle Creek. This event is designed to support small businesses interested in showcasing their capabilities to local buyers by providing them with a variety of resources that will enable them to put their best foot forward through: Accessing capacity-building resources   Preparing for procurement opportunities   Perfecting their pitch   Growing and maintaining supply chain relationships   The Summit will be open to all suppliers looking for support to become buyer-ready, with a focus on opportunities for local and diverse businesses. The event will include presentations on doing business with Southwest Michigan organizations, breakout sessions on supplier resources, and buyer-supplier networking. There is no cost to participate though registration is required.

Event Details: The college essay is an important part of the evaluation process. Join a former college admission officer to discuss college essays and learn some tips and tricks for taking on your own essays! We will offer suggestions for finding and sharing your best stories to make your college applications the best they can be.Teens and parents are welcome. You may attend these sessions in-person or on Zoom. Registration required.Your Speaker:Sam Joustra came to Collegewise after working in college admissions for ten years at three different institutions. She attended Goucher College as an undergraduate, and worked in admissions at Hampshire College, Vanderbilt University, and the University of Michigan. She loves applying her experience on the other side of the desk to her work with students, helping them choose the schools that are the best fit and helping them navigate the admissions process.
