Join us at Stoney Creek Metropark, venture out in your own neighbood, or choose to ride on your at-home exercise bike. The choice is yours! Rather you choose to rally in person or participate virtually, we are calling on all of you to join us for the 17th Annual Mind Over Matter 2021 Experience on Saturday, August 7th. All pre-registrants will receive a 2021 Mind Over Matter t-shirt and special gifts to make this experience just as fun as the years past. Participants who pre-register by July 6 will be guaranteed their preferred t-shirt size. This year, we are doing post-event jersey orders. Event Details: Each year CARE of Southeastern Michigan works with students and families to educate and implement substance use prevention in the lives of the individuals we serve. CARE holds weekly educational workshops and hosts various summer camps for school-aged kids. Leadership Camp activities help increase resiliency, self-esteem, and team building to empower students to be leaders in their communities. Students can expect a week of fun, “out of the box” experiences! CARE will be hosting the camps in from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PMMost of the activities will be outside where social distancing and masks will be enforcedWe require students to wear masks to keep them and our staff safe during this timeMeals will be provided for studentStudents will have access to indoors with assigned classrooms for each grade level participatingThere will be a maximum 40 students at each camp, so sign-up quickly! First Five Years Virtual Parenting class

Event Details: This virtual, five-week discussion group is designed for parents of children birth to 4 years of age to provide an exciting outlook on child-rearing in today’s world. Development, understanding behavior, communication, building self-esteem, and discipline that works are explored. This class runs every Monday from August 9-September 13 from 1-3 pm, with no class on Labor Day. Sessions build on each other every week.
